About Marva Johnson
Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
My Background and Approach to Therapy
Welcome, I'm Marva Johnson, a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own experiences of growth through difficult times, which instilled in me a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of therapeutic relationships.
I earned my Master of Divinity (MDiv) in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, College & Seminary, and have since dedicated my career to creating a safe, nurturing space where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and create meaningful change in their lives.
My Therapeutic Philosophy
I believe that each person has the innate capacity for healing and growth when provided with the right support and tools. My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from various evidence-based methodologies while honoring your unique experiences, cultural background, and individual needs.
While I specialize in anxiety management, depression treatment, burnout recovery, and trauma-informed care, I view each client holistically rather than through the lens of a diagnosis or specific issue. I recognize that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and professional expertise as we work together toward your goals.
