Learn moreOnline Therapy for Individuals, Couples & Families — Anywhere in Ontario
If you have been searching late at night for an "anxiety therapist near me" or "online therapist in Ontario," you are already taking a meaningful first step. Set Apart Counselling is a fully virtual practice, which means you can meet with a Registered Psychotherapist from wherever you feel most comfortable — your home in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Sudbury, North Bay, or any community across the province. Many of my clients connect from Toronto and the GTA — and because every session is online, the same support is just as close from anywhere in Ontario.
Therapy that fits your life
No commute, no waiting room, and no need to live near a therapist's office. Secure video sessions make it easier to keep therapy consistent, even with a demanding job, family responsibilities, or a rural or small-town address where in-person mental health care can be hard to find. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.
Support for what you are carrying
Many of the people I work with come in feeling anxious, exhausted, or stretched past their limit — struggling with racing thoughts, low mood, workplace burnout, strained relationships, or a life transition that has left them feeling unlike themselves. Together we work at your pace to make sense of what you are feeling and build practical tools you can use between sessions.
Confidential and PHIPA-compliant
Sessions are held over a secure, encrypted video platform, and your personal health information is handled in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), I am held to strict professional and privacy standards.
Wherever you are in Ontario, you don't have to navigate this alone. Reach out to find a time that works for you.

What to Expect
Reaching out for the first time takes courage, and not knowing what happens next can make it harder. Here is exactly how it goes.
You reach out
Send a message through the contact form, book online, or call. You do not need to explain everything or have the right words ready — a sentence or two about what is going on is enough to start.
We find a time
Sessions are held by secure video or phone, so you can attend from wherever you feel most comfortable. Evening times are available. You will get a confirmation with everything you need to join.
Your first session
The first session is mostly about getting to know you: what brought you here, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. You set the pace — nothing is pushed, and you never have to share more than you are ready to.
We agree on a direction
Together we name what you are working toward and how we will get there. We revisit it as we go, and you are always free to say something is not working. If a different service or clinician would serve you better, I will tell you.
A few things people often wonder
- You do not need a diagnosis or a referral. You can start therapy simply because something is hard right now.
- What you say stays confidential. Sessions are private and protected under Ontario’s health privacy law (PHIPA), with a small number of legal exceptions I will explain at the outset.
- You are not locked in. There is no minimum number of sessions, and you decide how long we work together.
- It is normal to feel nervous. Most people do before a first session. That is welcome in the room too.
Therapy is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate distress, call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline, 24/7 across Canada) or call 9-1-1.
